What to Donate
Give us the shirt off your back

Goodwill needs you to clear the clutter from your closets and donate your gently-used clothing and other household items. The sales of your donations help fund job training programs, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who have disabilities, lack education or job experience, or face employment challenges. Now you can calculate the impact your donation has on your community by using our handy calculator.

Donate the change in your pockets, too!

Giving cash helps Goodwill fund even more skills training, employment opportunities, and placement services for people with disabilities and other disadvantages. All cash contributions to Goodwill are fully tax deductible as provided by law. We also accept memorials and gifts in honor of your friends and loved ones and provide a thoughtful notification of your remembrance.

Stocks and Bequests and Mineral Rights

There are many tax saving opportunities for people who wish to generously support Goodwill through the donation of stocks, bonds, mineral rights, any other investment, or planned giving, through a bequest or living trust. For more information on making a charitable donation, please contact David Awalt at (318) 869-2575.

Hazardous Materials

Due to hazardous material disposal laws, Goodwill cannot accept non-working refrigerators, air conditioners, or any other item that may contain Freon. We cannot accept bulb-type televisions that contain cathode ray tubes or picture tubes; we can only accept flat screen televisions. We also cannot accept live ammunition, firearms, paint, old tires or medical treatment items, such as syringes and oxygen tanks. Due to the possibility of mold, mildew, infestations and contamination, please do not donate items such as mattresses, box springs, soiled or wet clothing. THANKS!
