Volunteers

Through our volunteer and court ordered community service program, we provide meaningful, hands-on opportunities for individuals and groups to become actively involved in supporting communities across North Louisiana. Whether you are an individual looking to give back, fulfill community service hours, or a group seeking a team service opportunity, Goodwill of North Louisiana offers a variety of ways to make a positive impact.

Goodwill of North Louisiana operates 8 store locations throughout the region. The proceeds generated from these stores directly support Goodwill’s mission: “Improving people’s lives through the power of work!” Funds help provide job training, employment placement services, and other programs that assist individuals in gaining the skills and opportunities needed to achieve greater independence.

To ensure the safety, accountability, and proper documentation of all volunteer and community service participants, all individuals are required to present a valid form of identification when reporting for service. Acceptable forms of identification include a Driver’s License, State-Issued Identification Card, Passport, or School Identification Card. This identification is used to verify volunteer identity and maintain accurate program records.

Individuals who wish to volunteer independently must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers and court ordered community service workers under the age of 18 must either be accompanied by a responsible adult or provide a valid Minor Work Permit prior to participating.

Volunteer groups are welcome to participate in service opportunities; however, group size may be limited depending on the capacity and needs of each store location.

Please Note: Due to the high volume of requests for volunteer and court ordered community service placements, there may be a waiting period before placement becomes available. While waiting for a response from Goodwill, individuals are encouraged to continue exploring additional service opportunities within the community to ensure timely completion of required hours.
