To our Goodwill Donors, Friends, Employees and Customers,
The COVID-19 crisis is a sobering reminder of the vulnerability that we all share as human beings. Our thoughts are with those who have been personally impacted by the virus, especially those who have fallen ill. As an important person to our organization, we wanted to remind you that today begins the Community Foundation’s 2020 Give for Good Advance Giving Campaign and your support of Goodwill truly matters now more than ever!
For the past three weeks, our retail stores and Job Centers have all been closed due to the stay-at-home mandate of our staff and the public. Our administrative and programmatic staff have all been working remotely to ensure our essential business operations and clients’ needs have all been addressed during this uncertain time. As a social enterprise organization, the closure of our stores created new revenue challenges, but we knew the best way for Goodwill to help during this difficult time was to continue fulfilling our mission, “Improving People’s Lives Through the Power of Work”.
We thank you for your continued trust and partnership as we walk through these uncertain times together. As the health crisis seems to be plateauing and the possibility of life returning to the new normal, we know our mission will be more important than ever as the days unfold. We hope you will take advantage of the Community Foundation’s Give for Good campaign and choose to support Goodwill as one of your philanthropic choices.
